This pate is made without any preservatives, emulsifiers or additives and does include milk, onion, garlic, parsley, and peppers.

The Santa Catarina cannery is located in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean on the small chain of the Azores Islands. Here the fishermen use the Pole and Line method ( 1 man, 1 rod, 1 fishhook, 1 tuna), an environmentally friendly and sustainable fishing method with no by-catch. Greenpeace awarded the cannery the Most Sustainable Canned Tuna in the World. 

The island of Sao Jorge has 8,000 inhabitants and 120 of the women are employed by the cannery. All the packing, cleaning and labeling is done by hand in the traditional manner ensuring a quality of tuna unlike any other.
